When your ‘success’ at work is increasingly measured by metrics like citation figures, grant income and number of papers, how can you sustain your creative thinking and curiosity?

As academia increasingly emphasises quantifiable outcomes, it's all too common to feel overwhelmed by the pressure to chase particular outcomes. Maintaining your creative thinking and curiosity can be challenging at times. Yet it is this intrinsically-motivated approach that is key to driving innovative research and sustaining your momentum over a career.

In this upcoming webinar, lead of the Women in Research initiative, ARC Laureate Fellow and John Curtin Distinguished Professor Sharon Parker (Curtin University), will provide some evidence-based tips for navigating and thriving within the metrics-driven landscape of academia.

She will also be joined by ARC Laureate Fellows, Professor Sara Dolnicar (University of Queensland) and Professor Marilyn Fleer (Monash University), who will share their insights on how they incorporate creativity and curiosity in their research.
