About the event

With academic interview season approaching, many researchers will soon be preparing for a conversation that could shape the trajectory of their careers.

In a single conversation, candidates are expected to demonstrate their teaching and research expertise, articulate how they would contribute as a colleague and respond effectively to difficult or unexpected questions.

Interviews offer an opportunity to demonstrate strengths that extend beyond the CV, yet they remain one of the stages candidates feel least prepared for. So how do you articulate your value clearly and position yourself as the strongest candidate?

In this webinar, ARC Laureate Fellow and lead of the Women in Research initiative, Professor Sharon Parker (Curtin University) will share practical, evidence-based strategies for approaching academic interviews.

She will be joined by ARC Laureate Fellow Professor Anne Castles (Australian Catholic University), ARC Industry Laureate Fellow Professor Sarah Bekessy (The University of Melbourne), who will reflect on their own interview experiences and what they look…
