Being an academic often means taking on many roles at once. Researcher, teacher, supervisor, mentor, colleague and sometimes leader, alongside the roles and responsibilities you have outside work.
With so many people and priorities competing for your attention, it can be difficult to know where to focus your time and energy. When everything feels important, giving more to one area can leave you feeling like you are falling short somewhere else.
So how do you navigate multiple roles without feeling that you need to do everything, for everyone, all at once? And how do you make choices about where to focus without feeling that you are letting something, or someone, down?
